Fenway Clayworks is hiring a woodturner to join our team in Golden, Colorado!

Applicants must have enthusiasm for their work, embrace high quality standards, be problem-solvers, and eager to learn. 

Qualifications

• Prior experience turning spindles and end grain pieces on a wood lathe
• Proficiency using traditional lathe chisels and carbide chisels
• Pride in producing very accurate work and meeting scheduled deadlines.
• Knowledge of wood types, finishes, and joinery methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in other woodworking techniques, machinery, and tools. 
• Demonstrated experience as a woodworker or furniture maker.

Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machinery. 
• Assist in lighting assembly.
• Fabricate and assemble wood products according to specifications.
• Maintain clean and organized workshop and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain quality control standards.

Applicants must have enthusiasm for their work, embrace high quality standards, be problem-solvers, and eager to learn. 

Qualifications

• Some prior experience with clay is required
• Ability to spiral wedge preferred

Responsibilities

• Weighing and wedging clay
• Shipping orders to customers
• Owning a cleaning schedule for the studio
• Sanding pots after firing
• Assisting in the glazing process
